England Looks in No Way Like Southern California

The summer of 2022 felt like the beginning-of-the-end of the Covid-19 era. Large gatherings were allowed, people were seeing friends and family again, and travelers picked up their suitcases and jetted off to their long-awaited destinations.

If, like us, you were around the age where everyone you knew was getting married, then 2022 was the summer of weddings. Suddenly everyone who had gotten engaged in the past couple years was sending out their save-the-dates, and eager guests were happy to RSVP ASAP.

While we could not attend all the weddings that we were invited to that busy summer, we did sneak in two beautiful ceremonies. The first was on the Isle of Wight in the UK, and we got some great shots in the village of Brighstone and in London.

We stopped into a photography shop near our hotel in London for some extra film and made friends with staff by showing off the Retina. We were told that the shop had only seen 1 set of Retina IIIC lenses come through, and they had sold the full complement only weeks earlier.
