In August we drove south from Canada into the States to spend some time camping in California’s Del Norte Redwoods National Park and Oregon’s Crater Lake National Park. Both regions are protected parks due to their unique and spectacular natural beauty and ecological diversity, and I cannot recommend visiting them enough.
We snapped some great shots of the Oregon Coast and Crater Lake, but I can’t say the same for the Redwoods. I often forgot to bring/use my camera while we explored the Redwoods. Oops! But I can say that if you ever get a chance to visit, the trees are bigger than we could have imagined and it feels like you’ve entered a fairy-tale land. Though the bugs are the same ones you might see anywhere in the PNW, they were also quite large in the old growth forests, especially the daddy-long legs…!
Despite the forest fires in Oregon and being pregnant (it was a babymoon, as well!), we had a great time camping, hiking, sleeping in the tent, and road-tripping down the Pacific Coast.
